Our Employment team help give people the confidence and skills to find a job. Or take that next step on the career ladder. Or start their own business. They also help young people discover and realise their career aspirations.
Within six weeks of the first national lockdown, all of our services were changed to online. While this resulted in 20% higher retention rate on our digital courses and greater value for money, saving money on venues/colleague travel time and participant expenses, we also learnt that access to technology isn’t fair for all. We know that not all courses can be completed on a smartphone, a laptop or computer access is needed. So, we need to work with our communities to make sure they can access the learning and support they need.
